Terms of service

The service

Onrup provides an API for fine-tuning open-weight language models and serving them. Creating an account means accepting these terms. If you are accepting on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to do so.

Who owns what

You own your data and your models. Datasets you upload, and the weights produced by runs you start, are yours. We claim no licence over them beyond what is needed to run the service you asked for — storing them, processing them for your runs, and serving them from your endpoints.

We own the platform. The API, the templates, the console and the surrounding software remain ours.

Base models carry their own licences. A fine-tune inherits the terms of the model it was trained from, and those obligations pass to anyone you give the derivative to. Complying with them is your responsibility; the catalogue states the licence for each model and the generated model card records which one applies.

Payment

Compute is metered and charged at the published rates. Every job is authorised against your spend limit before compute is leased, so charges cannot exceed the ceiling you set. Rates may change; changes apply to usage after the change, and every usage record carries the pricing revision that was in force when it happened.

Failure to settle an invoice suspends the ability to start new work. Work already running is allowed to finish.

Acceptable use

Use of the service is subject to the acceptable use policy, and to the acceptable-use terms of whichever base model you fine-tune. Breach of either may result in suspension.

Availability

The service is provided as is. Capacity is sourced from third parties and is not guaranteed to be available instantly in any class at any moment; a run may queue. Formal availability commitments are made under enterprise agreements, not under these terms.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Ending it

You may close your account at any time. Export your weights and datasets first — we will delete them, and that is the point of being able to export. We may suspend or close an account for breach of these terms or the acceptable use policy, or for non-payment, and will give notice where it is practical to do so.
