Model publishing
What is model publishing?
Model publishing pushes a trained model to a public or private hub so it can be discovered, downloaded and used elsewhere. It usually accompanies a model card describing what the model is and how it was made.
Publishing privately is a portability mechanism as much as a distribution one — the model exists somewhere the training platform does not control.
The licence of the base model governs the derivative. Publishing a fine-tune of a model with a restrictive licence does not relax those restrictions, and the obligations pass to whoever downloads it.
